costumes + dance = halloween

I.
love.
dancing.
Love it!

So when I hear the words, "Who's ready for the halloween stake dance?". . . . . . . . . . .

of course I'm going to be yelling, "I'm SO there!!!"

And that's exactly what happened. . .almost.

Our halloween youth dance was on October 8th this year, and we had a really good turnout!

(For those of you who don't understand me when I say 'youth dance', it's basically like your typical high school dance. . . .except more casual, and it's filled with wholesome-yet popular-music, and the dancing is a MILLION times better, let me tell you!)

The decorations were pretty chill, so kudos to the decorations committee!!

Since it was Halloween, it was optional if you wanted to dress up. . . .so I did.

And I went as Cupid. With the whole crossbow and everything.

I even had glitter on my face. A lot of glitter.

Jodi (the red Fanta girl) and I
My wings were red, and really big! At times, it made it a little harder to dance, especially when Johnny was teaching me how to swing dance! ;)

hahaha :D

Emily was a bunny. . .I love this girl!

I sincerely enjoyed it :)))

It was mad crazy that night, but I had so much fun!

And one of the best parts was. . . . . . . . . . . .when I saw my dear friends who live in the stake:

Ali, Jodi, Crystal
a.k.a.
The Fanta Girls!!

love those girls.

I live for dances, mainly because they're one of the excuses when I can act crazy, and be my outrageous self, complete with
RaNdOm DaNcInG,
and singing to my heart's desire!

And then Halloween came along. I changed my costume to a nerd.

Classic, I know, but I had something called "Halloween Spooktacular" that day at school, and did I really want to be sitting in the auditorium for 3 hours watching a movie, and playing games with outrageously huge wings attached to my back?

I think not.

Therefore, I went as a nerd, or in other words. . . .
I showed my true identity.
;)

It was a lot of fun!

And I know a lot of teenagers complain about Halloween, saying 'they're too old to dress up' but really? You're never too old to be a kid. That's a known fact!! You just have to have the imagination, the desire, and the craziness to become something you're not on Halloween.
