date night :)

SO last night, I went on a date with 4 other couples:

Robert and Emily

Johnny and Emily

Dan and Megan

Seth and Kirsti

Ben and Sierra (me!)

We all decided to convene at Megan's house and have a dinner and movie group date.

Ben picked me up with his brother, Josh, driving the car. The date started at 6:30. . . . . .

BUT we didn't get there until about 8:05.

Why, you ask?

Well hahaha it's actually a funny story:

We kind of left New Jersey because Josh missed highway 295, had to turn around and get back on the highway. Turns out, there was a huge, and I mean HUGE accident on the road, and traffic was backed up like crazzzzy! I thought it was going to be mad awkward, but it was the exact opposite! We all started talking and laughing with each other. We talked about everything, from who our favorite superheroes were. . .

  •  Josh and I absolutely l-o-v-e Flash Gordon

  •  I adore Green Lantern. . .

. . . ever since Ryan Reynolds played Hal Jordan in the movie!

  • Ben liked Spiderman, I want to say

. . . to the kind of music we listen to. . .

  • Surprisingly, I'm not the only one who listens to Vampire Weekend, and we ALL agreed that dubstep is amazing!!!
We arrived at Megan's house, thanked Josh for driving us there, and proceeded into the dining room, where everyone was eating. Our dinner and dessert were prepared by each of the couples:

-Seth and Kirsti made the parmesan chicken (which was soooooo good)

-Johnny and Emily made the potato salad (I had seconds hahaha )

-Rob and Emily prepared the fruit platter (which had RASPBERRIES)

-Dan and Megan whipped up these wickedly delicious lava cakes (brownies with chocolate filling in the middle, topped with a raspberry and lots of whipped cream)

-Ben and I worked on the muddy buddies (which are so freaking awesome!)

When dinner was over, we all helped out washing and drying the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen. We had originally planned on watching a movie, and it came down to either. . .

The Count of Monte Cristo or Avatar.

But instead of watching a movie and not interacting with each AT ALL, we ended up playing "The Name Game" and "The 5 Second Rule".

I had so much fun!!!!

I didn't end up getting home until about 11:30, and I was so tired.

But I must say, it was such a pleasure to hang out with friends from the stake who know how to have fun without making stupid decisions, or acting too immature. It was so nice to be myself around people I'm so comfortable with, acting how I always do, and not being afraid of being judged because I'm 'different'.

So thanks everyone, for making my night such a fun, wholesome, and crazy night! I wouldn't trade it for the world!

And thank you Ben, for asking me out on a date. You made my day.

wish tickets

I wish every time I had these tickets, my wish would actually come true. . .

I wish life was full of happiness, rainbows, and sparkles.

I wish school was easy, fun, and exciting.

I wish friends got along.

All day.

24/7.

Without any bickering.

I wish the sky was always baby blue, filled with fluffy clouds and promising hope.

I wish there was NO global warming.

I wish winters weren't so cold.

I wish summers weren't so hot.

I wish dreams could come true; but only the ones that were optimistic and waaaaay unrealistic.

I wish teenagers respected themselves more, and didn't feel the need to want attention in negative ways.

I wish everyone on Earth knew they were children of God; a knowledge that is most powerful today.

I wish there was no such thing as "curse words".

I wish alcohol, drug use, and smoking were permanently banned from society.

I wish everyone were giving, selfless, and caring towards mankind.

I wish I had a panda bear as a real pet.

And maybe even a teeny monkey with bright, orange fur.

I wish I could eat ice cream all day,
everyday.

I wish teachers were nice, and not crabby all the freaking time.

I wish violence, discrimination, and hatred towards others didn't exist.

I wish guys from my school actually cared enough to treat women with the respect they deserve; with chivalrous acts of kindness, and always being a gentleman.

I wish the food at school was more appetizing, and actually good for you.

I wish projects, chem tests, history quizzes, math benchmarks, and timed essays were

n-o l-o-n-g-e-r.

Because I h-a-t-e chemistry, math, quizzes and tests, TIMED essays and most projects.

I wish I owned a hot-air balloon.

I wish I could go to the canyons in Utah whenever I wanted to.

Because I miss that.

I wish I didn't stress out so easily, especially when dealing with future college applications, SAT's and ACT's, and the stupid HSPA.

And maybe just school overall.

I wish a lot of things. . . .

 . . . . but that doesn't mean they're going to come true.

But  I can still dream, right?

mini-yc

MINI-YOUTH CONFERENCE IS TONIGHT!!!

And of course, only my luck would have me sick the same weekend. . . .

I hate sickness.

With a passion.

BUT, I won't be stopped from having the time of my life with my stake lovelies!

N-O-T-H-I-N-G can stop me from laughing hard at the guy who has a "unique" style of dancing. . .

N-O-T-H-I-N-G can stop me from singing my heart out to all the cool songs played. . .

N-O-T-H-I-N-G can stop me from running to the bathroom with my girls during a slow song. . .

N-O-T-H-I-N-G can stop me from staying up late, catching up with everyone's lives. . .

and. . . . . .

N-O-T-H-I-N-G can stop me from remembering who I am, why I go to mini-youth conference, and how peaceful I feel when I feel the Spirit again, especially during Testimony Meeting.

Ohmygoodness I cry like a baby.

But I wouldn't miss it for the world!

Even if I am stupidly sick.

But don't worry, I won't give anyone else the same misery I have. . . . I hope.

:)

best friend for life

Chance made us sisters. Hearts made us friends.

I love my sister.

Absolutely love her to death.

Me*Lexie
I know most siblings - especially OLDER ones - would probably say that their younger sisters get on their nerves half the time, and
yes
yes
yes.

I know e-x-a-c-t-l-y what you mean; I have another one, and she's only 7.

And I love her too.

But Alexandra (well she likes Lexie better) just turned 12 last month which means. . . . .

SHE'S IN YOUNG WOMENS NOW!!! :))))

What's Young Womens, you ask?

Oh, well it's this really uh-may-zing program that teenage girls ages 12 to 18 participate in. It teaches you all sorts of valuable information, and qualities you'll need to succeed in life.

Because of being in this wonderful program, I have grown to be the young woman I am now. I appreciate nature, I love doing service for others, and I try my best to be kind to everyone I meet. I am proud to be a part of it, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

. . . . . annnnnnd that's why I'm glad Lexie's going to be a part of it!

I'm so proud of her. SO PROUD of her attitude, all that she has accomplished. She is awesome, and I can't wait to see how she'll be at dances hahaha ;)
