day five

Day 05: a picture of your favorite memory

Oh man, I have so many favorite memories. . .so I've decided to share more than one!

1.) I loved going over to grandma's house and help her make all kinds of food. . .
especially cakes!
This one here is my birthday cake for my 5th birthday!

Gosh, I miss her.

2.) My second cousin, Mackensie, always loved playing with my hair while I would play piano at her house.

I remember one time, I was jumping on the trampoline, when I fell into their backyard pond!

I was so embarrassed, but everyone thought it was hilarious! I remember being so freaking cold!

But nevertheless, I always had fun with her!

3.) One tradition we have in our family is making cascarones on Easter.

You take an egg, make a hole that's as wide as a nickel, and empty the egg from the hole, until there's no yoke inside. Let the egg dry, and then you fill the egg with confetti. Instead of glue, we use tape to cover the hole. You can dye the eggs using a dying kit, but I use markers. They work the same way :)

After that's finished, simply crack them on someone's head! This is me, age 6, and my dad, the day before Easter.

4.) My baptism

Does this need any more explanation?

I felt completely happy that day, and I was so grateful. My favorite primary song is "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" because of my baptism.

And I am so grateful that my dad was the one to baptize me.

Thanks, dad.
